Tara Lynn Stuppnig and Stephen Paul Votis, both of Marinette, WI, were united in marriage on January 21, 2014 at the Sandals Grand Riviera in Ocho Rios, Jamaica; Pastor Sheldon Anderson officiated. The cocktail reception was on the bluff overlooking the ocean and the private dinner was held on the Boardwalk Pier on the resort. 22 guests traveled with the bride and groom to attend the event.
Matron of Honor was Penny Bourque, best friend of the bride, from Marinette, WI. Bridesmaids were Rebecca Rose, Lena, WI and Amanda Overman, Marinette, WI, both friends of the bride. Best man was Robert Majewski, best friend of the groom, from Peshtigo, WI. Groomsmen were Marc Cesario, Mt. Pleasant, MI and Richard Jahns, Ripon, WI, both friends of the groom.
Tara is the daughter of Mark and Margie Stuppnig of Marinette, WI. She is also the granddaughter of Lois and the late Anthony Stuppnig of Menominee, MI. She is a 1995 graduate of Marinette High School and went on to earn her Associate of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice and MCOLES certification through Northern Michigan University. Tara is the owner/operator of Taradise Tanning in Menominee.
Stephen is the son of William and the late Ruth Votis of Hiles, WI. He is a 1988 graduate of Crandon High School and went on to earn his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management at Ripon College. He furthered his education by completing the Graduate School of Banking certification at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Stephen is currently employed as a Senior Vice President and Commercial Lender at Farmers & Merchants Bank & Trust in Marinette. The couple resides in Marinette, WI.
