Charles J. Lamack, 86, of Wallace, Mich., passed away Friday, August 30, 2013, at Pinecrest Medical Care Facility in Powers, Mich. Charles was born on January 26, 1927, in Menominee, Mich. to the late Charles and Martha (Schmidt) LaMack.
Charles graduated from Menominee High School. In January of 1945, Charles joined the United States Navy Air Force and spent 20 months in service to his Country. In 1963, Charles married Marie Kramer and together they raised seven children. Charles worked at Menominee Paper Company for 42 years, retiring in 1990. Charles enjoyed the outdoors where he loved to hunt and garden. He further enjoyed playing and working with his children teaching them to hunt and shoot straight.
Charles is survived by his daughter, Theresa LaMack of Waukesha, Wis.; six sons: Donald (Nancy) of Menominee, Mich., David (Jenny) of Waukesha, Wis., Mike of Wallace, Mich., Tim (Mary) of Ada, Okla, Bob (Adrianna) of West Milwaukee, Wis. and Jim of Marinette, Wis.; 6 grandchildren: Sarah, Abby, Kayla, Jonathan, Jake and Ashlyn; and sister: Mary Lou Sommerfeldt of Marinette, Wis. Charles was preceded in death by his brother, Jack.
Family and friends may call at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home, on Wednesday, September 4, 2013, after 4 p.m. until time of Military Rites at 6 p.m. followed by funeral service. Father Ronald Timock officiating.
Burial will be in Birch Creek Cemetery.
