Clara M. Maloney, 89, of Menominee, passed away on Friday, November 29, 2013, at Menominee Care Center. She was born on April 21, 1924, to the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Kovarik) Velich in Menominee.
She graduated from Menominee High School and had worked as a cashier for Bill's IGA for 30 years. On January 13, 1944, Clara married Joseph E. Maloney in Menominee; he preceded her in death on October 10, 1999. She was a member of Resurrection Parish. She enjoyed cleaning her home and riding her bike all over right up until going to the nursing home.
Clara is survived by her son, Robert (Wanda) Maloney of Menominee; daughter, Dawn Neville of Madison, Tenn.; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Joseph, she was preceded in death by three sisters: Anna Koutnik, Rose Oreshoski, and Mary Sieminski; and a brother, Joseph Velich.
Friends may call at Cadieu-Thielen Funeral Home, in Menominee, on Tuesday, December 3, 2013, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at 6 p.m. with Deacon Vince Beckley officiating.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Menominee.
