Donna Mae (Johnson) Fournier, 86, passed away April 5, 2014, at Rennes Health Center West. She was born April 28, 1927, in Green Bay, Wis., daughter of the late Bill and Agnes Johnson,
Donna moved to Pound, Wis. with her parents in 1935. She attended schools in Pound and graduated from Coleman High School and Misericordia Hospital School of Nursing in Milwaukee. November 27, 1952, she married Glen Fournier at St. John's Catholic Church in Green Bay. The couple moved to Rothschild, Wis., had a beautiful home there and a cottage on Manson Lake in Tomahawk, Wis. where they enjoyed hosting and entertaining their family and friends. After the death of her husband in 2003, Donna moved to Marinette to be closer to her sisters where she resided at Renaissance Assisted Living and later moved to Rennes Health Center West. She was quick witted, enjoyed fun and laughter and loved music and singing. She always faced life's issues with a positive attitude with very little complaining or regrets. Everyone who knew her, especially her family and caregivers, loved her and will miss her.
Donna is survived by a sister, Lorraine Woulf and a sister-in-law, Jo Johnson; nieces and nephews: Kathy (Jim) Durow, Bob (Linda) Woulf, Jackie Doperalski, Jon (Joyce) Woulf, Steve Fournier, Steve (Marge) Johnson, Jo Ann (Steve) Sanchez, Larry Thompson, and Pat Robbins. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Glen; a brother, Ben Johnson; two sisters: Carol Woulf and Thelma Fournier; brothers-in-law: Leslie and Donald Woulf and Sanford Fournier; nieces: Sandy Fournier, Judy Thompson, Jennifer Johnson and Debbie Robbins; and nephew, David Doperalski.
Visitation will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church in Peshtigo on Friday, April 11, from 10 a.m. until time of funeral Mass at 11 a.m. with Rev. Father Robert Karuhn officiating.
Entombment will be in Bay Settlement Cemetery in Green Bay, Wis.
Berth & Rosenthal Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. The family wishes to thank the many caregivers who provided loving care and support over the years especially in her final days.
