Emil Blom passed away peacefully on Friday, June 13th, surrounded by his family. He was born on April 13, 1941 to Emil and Gertrude (Nicklaus) Blom.
Emil was raised on a dairy farm in Porterfield, Wis. He moved to Oregon at the age of 18 where he met and married Roselea. They raised their family in cottage Grove, celebrating 52 years of marriage in May. He was a millwright contractor and owned an industrial construction business.
Emil is survived by his wife, Roselea Blom; his children: Renee, Rob and Krista; two grandsons, Adam and Parker; his sister, Lois Lund of Eugene Ore.; brother, Allan Blom of Menominee, Mich.; many nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
