F.H. "Jay" Jabas

F.H. "Jay" Jabas, 81, of Bradenton, Fla., formerly of Marinette, Wis., died on March 30th 2014.
Jay graduated U.W. Madison from the school of Engineering. He went on to attend George Washington University earning an M.B.A and Law degree. He was active in local politics serving as City Attorney in Marinette, Wis. and had a private practice for several years. He worked as an Engineer for Ansul in Marinette and later acquired MJR Industries and Roilgard of Menominee, Mich. where he was owner and President for 25 years. Jay served two years in the United States Navy during the Korean War era. He was an active member of the Boy Scouts and achieved the highest rank of Eagle Scout. He loved to read and travel in his spare time whether abroad or enjoying our national parks.
Jay is survived by his wife of 56 years, Roberta "Bobbie" Jabas and his three children: Cindy (John) Kasten of Naples, Fla., Michelle Larsen of Green Bay, Wis., Kara (Adam) Abel of Seattle, Wash.; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild on the way and four niece and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Scott Jabas and his sister, Erna Reed.
