Helen Daniel, 9,5 of Menominee, Mich., passed away Monday, March 24, 2014, at the Luther Home. The former Helen Gromala was born in Chicago, Ill. on April 22, 1918, to the late Anton and Frances (Kostellick) Gromala.
On June 20, 1936 Helen married Aloysius Daniel in Menominee. He preceded her in death on December 29, 2001. Helen was a faithful member of Resurrection Church. She enjoyed dancing, gaming, shopping, and going out to eat with friends and family. She loved her family very much and had a real passion for her grandchildren.
Survivors include two daughters: Delores (Jerry) Knutson of Menominee, Mich., Barbara (Edgar) Scray of Green Bay, Wis.; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; step-brother, Andrew Strazzinski of Stephenson, Mich. Helen was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Vernon; three brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will take place at Anderson Kell Funeral Home of Menominee after 4 p.m. Thursday, March 27, 2014. The vigil prayer service will begin at 6 p.m. with Fr. Ryan Ford presiding. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for the repose of the soul of Helen Daniel at 11 a.m. Friday, March 28, 2014, at Resurrection Catholic Church with Fr. Ryan Ford presiding.
