Helen M. “Sis” Pillsbury, 84, of Oconto, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2014, at home with her family at her side. Helen was born August 4, 1929, in Peshtigo to the late Charles and Margaret (Elert) Spangenberg. She married George “Frank” Pillsbury on July 23, 1949.  He preceded her in death on June 15, 1992.
 Helen attended Peshtigo Elementary and High School. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and working for church activities. She also enjoyed trips to the Island with special friend, Jo.
    Helen is survived by a daughter, Kathleen (Gary) Bancroft, Oconto; two sons: Dan (Sherry) Pillsbury, Oconto and Michael (Ann) Pillsbury, Pulaski; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard (Mary) Spangenberg, Peshtigo; four sisters-in-laws: Alma Strege, Bernadine Pillsbury, Lois Spangenberg, Jeannine Ehman; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Jim Miller. She was preceded in death by two brothers: Warren and Paul; and several brothers and sisters-in-law.
    The family will receive relatives and friends at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 5, 2014. Visitation will continue on Friday, June 6, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday at the church with Rev. Gerhardt Miller and Rev. Frederik Schulz officiating.
    Burial will be at the Evergreen Cemetery.
