Janet Julia Leslie, 75, of Menominee, Mich., was born into eternal life on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at Bay Area Medical Center in Marinette, Wis. She was born on October 22, 1937, in Wallace, Mich. the only daughter of Frank L. and Helen (Valcq) Haulotte.
Janet graduated from Menominee High School class of 1955. She married Floyd Leslie on April 30, 1960 at the First Presbyterian Church in Menominee. Janet was a member of the Pioneer Presbyterian Church in Marinette. She was a bookkeeper in her dad's construction company and she also worked in the accounting department at the former Ansul Company from high school until 1962, when she became a full time mother and homemaker. Janet's greatest pleasure was being involved with her family. Her hobbies were sewing, knitting and most any kind of craft work. She spent many years as a Sunday School Teacher, a girl scout and brownie leader and she was a cub master when her grandson was in cub scouts.
Janet is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Floyd Leslie; two daughters: Julie Ann (Tom) Skrzypinski of Menominee, Mich. and Linda Jean Leslie of Menomonee Falls, Wis; a grandson, Gary John (Bridget) Eland; a great-grandson, Logan James Eland of Menominee, Mich; one brother, Ken (Melba) Haulotte; a niece, Dana Haulotte; a nephew, Brian (Shannon) Haulotte, all of Texas and many other family members and friends.
Visitation for Janet will be at the Cadieu-Thielen Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Funeral services for Janet will be held at the Pioneer Presbyterian Church in Marinette, Wis. on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at 10 a.m. The Rev. Jon Nelson will officiate.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Menominee, Mich.
