Kenneth C. Zillmer, left the building on August 22, 2014. He was born in Janesville, Wisconsin to Edwin and Martha (Darcy) Zillmer on June 6, 1926. On a colorful fall day, he married his one and only wife, Alice, (nee Paulson) on September 7, 1948, in Ontonagon, MI.
He served in Korea during the Second World War long before hostilities started there. He was employed by Wisconsin Electric in Milwaukee for 32 years before retiring in 1986. He then moved to Crivitz, WI. and later to Menominee, MI. He was a lifetime member of the West Allis Bowmen, but a reluctant hunter because he loved all animals. A fan of long standing of the Chicago Cubs and Bears, he enjoyed gardening and an iced beverage of two in the evening. He excelled at remodeling, games of chance and was an expert cribbage player.
He is survived by his bereft wife; one niece, Darcy Rittich; and four nephews: Garry, Scott and Todd Blanchard, and Richard Zillmer. His parents, a brother, sister and nephew preceded him in death.
No services will be held. Hansen-Onion-Martell funeral home is assisting the family.
