Mary (Lemieux) Wendt, 92, of Loudon, Tenn., passed away June 24, 2014, at Kindred Nursing Home, Loudon, Tenn., after a long illness.
  Mary was a 1939 graduate of Menominee High School and was married for 66 years to George Wendt, also a 1939 Menominee High graduate. She lived in Southgate for over 40 years where she was a founding member of St. Pius Catholic Church. During that time she was involved with the St. Pius Choir, teaching school and the Girl Scouts. After retiring with her husband to Fort Myers, Fla., she was able to pursue her hobbies of golf and bridge.
  Mary is survived by her loving husband, George, and children: Barbara (Dave) Gothard of Loudon, Tenn., George (Nancy) Wendt of Denton, Texas and Betsy (Mark) Egger of Redondo Beach, Calif. She is also survived by three grandchildren: Alex Wendt of Denver, Colo., Don (Jackie) Wendt of Lincoln, Neb. and Caroline Egger of Redondo Beach, Calif.; sister, Eleanor LaValley of Menominee, and many dear nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by parents George and Isabelle Lemieux of Menominee and brother, George Lemieux of Plymouth, Mich.
  A private celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
