Mary A. Risner, 70, of Coleman, passed away peacefully, after a brief battle with cancer, at her home with her family at her side. She was born to the late George and Frances (Nondorf) Farrell September 14, 1943, in Lena.
Mary married Gerald Risner August 14, 1964, at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Wausaukee. The couple farmed in the Coleman Area since 1968. Mary retired from the Peshtigo Post Office in 2009. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, traveling and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mary was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Coleman.
Surviving are her husband, Gerald; two children: Ross (Jori) Risner, Coleman, Kelly (Steve) Heroux, Peshtigo; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers: Ray (Nancy) Farrell, Crystal Falls, Mich., Henry Farrell, Pound; and one sister, Mabel Zeitler, Pound. Mary was preceded in death by one son, Kevin Risner, and one brother, George Farrell.
Relatives and friends may call at St. Anne Catholic Church, Coleman, Monday, March 31st from Noon until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 4 p.m. with Father Donald Burkart officiating. Mary will be placed to rest at St. Matthew Cemetery, Town of Pound.
