Mary Lou Wickman, 69, Oconto Falls, formerly Abrams, died Tuesday afternoon, December 17, 2013, at Meadowlands Assisted Living. She was born January 8, 1944 in Manitowoc to Richard and Mary Ann (Stradal) Rhode.
Mary Lou grew up in Manitowoc where she attended school, graduating from Lincoln High School with the class of 1962. On September 26, 1964, she married Willy Wickman at St. Innocents Catholic Church in Manitowoc. The couple moved to the Abrams area in 1968 where Mary Lou was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church and was active in the Friends of Abrams. She was also a strong supporter of the Abrams-Oconto Falls Youth Wrestling programs. Mary Lou had also been employed at Coleman Products for over 15 years.
Survivors are her two sons: Bill (Betsy) Wickman, Wausaukee; Bob (Susan) Wickman, Spring Green; six grandchildren: Brooke, Sara and Grace; Kaylee, Ryan and Ethan; two sisters: Bonnie (Robert) Zarn, Florida; Ann Rhode, Manitowoc; one brother, Dave (Donna) Rhode, N.C.; one niece, Alex Rhode, Boston, Mass. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held after 9 a.m. Saturday, December 21, 2013 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Oconto Falls until the time of service. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m., Saturday at the church with the Rev. Fr. Joel Sember officiating.
Entombment will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park in Manitowoc.
