Ralph A. Ehnert, 91, of Menominee, passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2014, at home with his family by his side. He was born on June 24, 1923, to the late Arnold and Anna (Mumpy) Ehnert in Reedsville. He graduated from Menominee High School in 1942, and went on to serve his country in the Army during WWII in the Pacific Theater. On September 6, 1947, Ralph married Lorraine M. Morois in Marinette; she preceded him in death on May 13, 2005.
    He had worked for Max Nohlechek plastering for a few years and then worked at Menominee Paper Co. retiring after 35 years. Ralph enjoyed hunting, fishing, ice fishing, square dancing, riding his Honda ’90, and driving cars for Bob Sorenson. He was a member of Holy Family Parish, the American Legion, M&M Archery, and various hunting clubs.
    Ralph is survived by a son, James (Mary Jo) Ehnert of Fish Creek; two daughters: Sandy (Jim) Hagerman of Davenport, IA  and Sally (Joe) Faucett of Menominee; six grandchildren: Chad (Erin) Hagerman, Heather (Brent) Davenport, Sara (Scott) Nicoletto, Matthew Faucett, P.F.C. Nathan Faucett, and Joseph Faucett II; eight great-grandchildren: Mackenzie, Leia, Grace, Ty, Dominic, Max, Gabrielle, and Abel.
    In addition to his wife, Lorraine; father, Arnold; mother and step father, Anna and Dan Vondracek; he was preceded in death by a brother, Lloyd.
    Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 27 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Thielen Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Parish Our Lady of Lourdes Church with Rev. Celestine Byekwaso and Rev. Daniel Schuster con-celebrating.
    Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery with Military Honors conducted by the Military 20 Year Club.
    Memorial may be made to the American Heart Association.
