Rand R. Lange, 59, lifelong resident of Peshtigo (Grover), passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2014, after a courageous battle with brain cancer. Born July 18, 1955, he was the son of Mylon and Janet (Hartwig) Lange.
Rand graduated from Peshtigo High School in 1974. On June 5, 1976, he married Jeanne Drewery at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Grover and they celebrated 38 years of marriage. Rand was an avid marksman and trap-shooter and enjoyed shooting for North Wood Flooring at various area shoots. His love of the sport was something he passed down to his grandson, Joran. Known for his appreciation for anything and everything John Deere, he was given the nickname “John Deere Randy” by friends and family. His nieces, nephews and grandchildren all spent many hours riding around the farm fields with him. One of his proudest accomplishments was the ability he had to get a crying child asleep before even finishing one round on the field. Rand was a 35 year member of the Grover Porterfield Fire Department.
