MARINETTE - Major facelifts at Marinette Marine are over for the time being. A ceremonial ribbon cutting ceremony Monday marked the final phase of building construction along the Menominee River.
"Today marks a new chapter in our history. The opening of this building celebrates the completion of Fincantieri's nearly $74 million capital investment," exclaimed Chuck Goddard, president and CEO of Marinette Marine.
Since 2009, the company has completed 13 on-site projects, including five major buildings. The result is a shipbuilding yard that runs like a well-oiled machine.
