STEPHENSON, Mich. — The Menominee County Library will continue its program called “Basics to Browsing.” The goal is to help anyone who has technology questions to best of our ability. For those who want to learn how use a computer, operate a new device, or more specific questions you may have about your device, the Menominee County Library is ready to help.
The library will be providing free workshops and scheduling one-on-one tech help. People can call the library at 906-753-6923 to sign up for a workshop or to schedule one-on-one time. If any Township Hall is interested in hosting a computer workshop and/or a one-on-one day to drop in with questions, please call and talk with Heather.
Remaning January Classes and locations:
Jan. 24 at 10 a.m. — Cybersecurity Basics — Hermansville Branch — Also a one-on-one day if you have specific questions
Jan. 26 at 10 a.m. — File Management Basics — Main Library in Stephenson
Jan. 31 at 10 a.m. and Feb. 4 at 10 a.m. — Zoom — Video Conferencing Basics — Main Library in Stephenson
Additional workshops will be available monthly.
Funding for this program is provided in part by a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services through the Library of Michigan and by through a grant from the Public Library Association (PLA) to conduct digital literacy workshops using Digitallearn.org resources. The PLA Digital Literacy Workshop Incentive, supported by AT&T, provides support to libraries of all sizes to conduct digital literacy training in their communities and help close the digital divide.
