The Salvation Army is accepting new and gently used winter coats, snow pants, boots, hats, mittens and warm blankets to be given to children in need in the counties of Marinette and Menominee. The collection will be ongoing for the month of October with distribution Nov. 7.

Captain Rhegan Stansbury of The Salvation Army said, “This year we are seeing more families experiencing tough times and this drive gives us the opportunity to provide the items necessary to keep kids warm and healthy through the winter months.”
