The Department of Menominee County Health and Human Services, St. Joseph SSVdP Conference (Marinette & Peshtigo) and The Salvation Army (Marinette and Menominee Counties) are coming together to host the summer Back 2 School Bash for families in need in the communities.
To keep kids and their families as healthy and safe as possible, the groups are asking the community to purchase pre-assembled backpacks. If interested, people can contact any one of the partners stated above. Each youth will receive a gift card for back to school clothes shopping and each family will also receive a packet of information with local resources. Distribution will then be a curbside pick-up at InVenture North, 1320 Main St., Marinette, Aug. 13 at prescheduled pickup times.
People may purchase backpacks at https://svdp-dwsourceall.roonga.com/back2schoolbash. Over 375 children are already registered for this year. All backpacks will be pre-packed and shipped directly to our distribution site following CDC guidelines.
