On a day designated to honor our nation’s military veterans, Marinette County is offering all military personnel, active and retired, free day entrance to the Marinette County parks system.

“For the service, sacrifice and bravery of our veterans and their families, we extend our gratitude by inviting them to enjoy our county parks and boat landings at no cost today, Veteran’s Day,” said Marinette County parks and facilities director Marty Keyport.

Marinette County owns and operates 21 parks for day use and six boat landings. To take advantage of the free day pass opportunity, veterans should obtain a daily parking pass from any county park entrance, indicate veteran on the envelope and write their unit of military service. Return the envelope to the pipe and hang the parking pass in the vehicle’s rear view mirror. The parking pass is good at all Marinette County parks today. One pass is available per active or retired military member and passes are non-transferable between vehicles.
