PESHTIGO—The Peshtigo Library has changed hours and will hold two summer reading programs.
The new library hours have changed to Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The library’s current COVID-19 restrictions are still in place.
Tail & Tales.
The library’s Summer Reading Program will be held through Aug. 30. This summer’s theme is Tail & Tales and will be similar to last year. The library will use Beanstack to have their virtual program, but a folder will be given to those who register.
Participants may complete challenges and log their reading minutes to get their name placed in a drawing to win a prize. The community goal is to read 250,000 minutes this summer.
This program is not limited to children. For more information, people are urged to visit the library’s Facebook page or website.
Summer reading program for adults.
The library is doing a second Summer Reading Program for adults that is not held in conjunction with the other Marinette County Libraries. This program will be held through August.
Participants will choose a book to fill one of 15 categories. Participants will receive a slip that needs to be filled out once they return the book to the library. Each slip will be put in a drawing, with a winner chosen after each month. There is one slip given per book read, so the more books that are read, the more chances the reader has to win a prize.
For more information, people may call the library at 715-582-4905.
