Arlene Marie (Johnson) Lake, 87, passed away on Monday, May 10, 2021, at home in McKinney, Texas. Arlene was born in McAllister Nov. 25, 1933, to Albert and Mary (Anderson) Johnson. She graduated from Wausaukee High School and Spencerian College. After graduation Arlene worked at the Milwaukee Field Office of the FBI until her marriage to Marvin Lake on Feb. 22, 1964. Following Marvin’s death in 1984, Arlene spent the next 15 years working at Vanderbilt University Law School in Nashville, Tenn., Arlene was an avid golfer, tireless volunteer for Habitat for Humanity and horrendous tennis player.
Arlene was preceded in death by her husband: Marvin her parents: Albert and Mary Johnson; her sisters: Mildred Olmstead, Florence Kubichek, Bernice Dejmek; and her brothers: Kenneth Johnson, Howard Johnson and Raymond Johnson. Arlene is survived by her daughter: Susan Ribar of McKinney, Texas; nieces: April Burton of Bradenton, Fla., Bridget Malfer of Castle Rock, Colo., Britta Manning of Anchorage, Alaska; and nephew: John Kubichek of West Bend, Wis.
A memorial service is planned for Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at Community Lutheran Church in McAllister.
