Claryce I. Rohde, 87, of Coleman, Wis., passed away Sept. 28, 2020, at Bellin Health Oconto Hospital. Born Aug. 4, 1933, daughter of the late Edwin and Mildred (Skinner) Wienke, she graduated from Peshtigo High School.
On Jan. 19, 1952, she married Larry H. Rohde at Zion Lutheran Church, and he preceded her in death March 15, 2009. An active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, she previously taught Sunday School, was a former member of the church choir and Ladies Aid. Claryce was also a past member of The Calico Gals Homemakers Club, volunteered at the Bay Area Medical Center Auxiliary for over 20 years and worked in the office at Badger Paper Mills and Thompson Brothers Boat Company.
Claryce is survived by four sons: David (Jean), Rob (Joy), Joel (Laura) and Tom (Becky); two daughters: Laurie (Andrew) St. Louis and Patti (Dave) Bornick; 17 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. Also survived by sisters-in-law: Adele Wienke, Burnette Marquardt, Jeanette Kalm and Betty Ann Shaw; brothers-in-law: Ralph Rohde, John Kirt and Duane Kalm; and a special niece, Julie (Fred) Alswager. Claryce was preceded in death by her husband, Larry; brothers: John (Jack) Wienke and William (Bud) Wienke; sisters: Corrine Grady and Betty Jarisch; brothers-in-law: Glen Grady, Cliff Rohde and Roy Marquardt; and sisters-in-law: Eileen Wienke, Helen Rohde, Mary Rohde, Lou Kirt and Letty Berg.
Due to Covid-19 private family funeral services were held and burial was in St. John’s Cemetery in Grover.
