Craig Sulk

Craig Sulk, acclaimed author, Professor of Logic and speaker, 59 of Menominee, passed away April 30, 2021 after a short bout with cancer. He was born October 31, 1961 to Milton and Marlene (Ebner) Sulk.

Craig was a 1980 graduate of Peshtigo High School. Craig would go on to guide for both black bear and whitetail deer. In 1993, Craig married his soul mate Barbara (Chaltry) Schumacher. That same year the couple purchased their dream home, a 420 square foot log cabin on 80 acres. For the past 25 years Craig worked for Schierl Oil Company (The Store) until retiring due to illness in late 2020.

Craig was passionate about many subjects, including hunting, football, baseball, paranormal and of course Bigfoot. His humor will also be missed.

In 2014 Craig was featured on Animal Planet’s “Finding Bigfoot” episode “Super Yooper”. After this, Craig along with wife Barbara opened the Bigfoot enthusiasts tourist destination, the Hyden Adventure. This in turn lead to the couple sponsoring the Marinette/Menominee Bigfoot Conventions.

Craig was a loving husband, father and grandfather and is survived by his wife:, Barbara; children: James Schumacher, Jennifer (Ben) Kordish and Tyler (Kourtney) Sulk; along with six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is further survived by his siblings: Steven Sulk, Susan Hubbard, Darcy (William) Wuhrman and Duane Sulk. Craig has many friends including best friend, Kevin Tessmer.

Besides his parents, Craig was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Simone; sister in law, Sheila Sulk and mother in law, Mary Chaltry.

Visitation for Craig will be held on Friday May 7, 2021 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church from 9:00 am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am with Father Jubish Joseph presiding. Burial will be in Birch Creek Cemetery at a later date.

Anderson Kell Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established. Any expressions of kindness and sympathy may be directed to Barbara Sulk.
