Dean L. Gerue, 88, of Stephenson, Mich., passed away on Thursday, Nov. 26, 2020, at Roubal Care and Rehab Center. Dean was born on Feb. 10, 1932, to the late Sarah Gerue in Wauwatosa, Wis.
On Oct. 1, 1955, Dean married the former Caroline Carron in Menominee, Mich. Carol would precede him in death on Feb. 14, 2010. Dean worked as a truck driver for Anderson Milk Transit for 22 years and was also a self-employed logger, a job he truly loved. He loved and found solitude being in the woods. Dean enjoyed one-armed dances with his wife, going to auctions with Berwyn, and fishing. He further enjoyed helping others, feeding his birds and gardening. Most off all, time spent with his family is what Dean enjoyed most.
Survivors include his two daughters: Gail (Dan Nash) Damaschke of Carney, Mich., and Cathy Gerue of Green Bay, Wis.; son, Troy (Jennifer) Gerue of Middle Inlet, Wis.; six grandchildren; five great-grandsons; friend and neighbor, Shelby Jardeen; and his beloved cat, Spike. Along with his mother and wife, Dean was preceded in death by one sister; one brother; and his best friend, Berwyn Curtice.
