
PAUL J. MOLLUS
Paul J. Mollus 80 formerly of Marinette WI passed
away on Friday, December 23,
2022, in Covington, GA. He
was born on May 27, 1942,
to the late Andrew and Muriel
C. Mollus in Marinette. He
attended Catholic Central
High School. On September
4, 1965, Paul married Judy
Zylkowski in Marinette. Paul
lived in Porterfield before
they moved to Covington GA.
in 1998. He was a member
of St. Mary’s Mother of God Catholic Church in
Jackson, GA.
Paul spent 45 years as a professional truck
driver driving for Red Owl Foods also while owning
his own trucks and leasing them with the following
companies over the years International Transport,
Gross Carriers and Landstar Ranger. Paul then
sold his trucks when he moved to Rural Atlanta
GA. (Covington GA.) Paul and Judy wanted to be
close to their daughter Torrie and their grandson’s.
He then took a job with Roadway Carriers as a line
haul driver and felt like he was retired not owning
his own truck with all the maintenance etc. He
liked the idea of just showing up and driving. Paul
lived on Lake Jackson where he enjoyed working
around his house and tinkering with his many
vehicles along with boating and camping. Paul also
enjoyed traveling, spending his winters in Florida
going to the beach, and riding his motorcycle with
his faithful companion, his dog Harley.
Paul is survived by his daughter, Torrie (Eric)
Sunstrom of McDonough, GA; grandsons: Aaron
(Mallory) Sunstrom of Palm Beach Gardens FL.,
and Adam “AJ” (Kagen) Sunstrom, and greatgranddaughter Harver Sunstrom of Arlington
VA. Brother John Mollus of Marinette, a brotherin-law Robert (LaRonde) Zylkowski of Clermont,
FL; sister-in-law, Antoinette Tappy of Green Bay;
his black lab, Harley; and many favorite nieces
and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was
preceded in death by his wife Judy Mollus, and a
brother-in-law, Roger Tappy.
Visitation will be held at THIELEN FUNERAL
HOME on Friday, January 27, from 4:00-7:00 p.m,.
A Vigil service will be held at 6:30 p.m. A Funeral
Mass will be held at HOLY FAMILY PARISHOUR LADY OF LOURDES CHURCH on Saturday,
January 28 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Celestine
Byekwaso officiating. Burial will be in Riverside
Cemetery in Peshtigo.
