Deborah Len (Schomaker) Gamelin, 67, of Marinette, Wis., passed away at home on Saturday, April 3, 2021, with her family by her side. She was born Feb. 22, 1954, to the late Herman and June (Fronsee) Schomaker.
Debbie graduated from Catholic Central High School in 1973. She went on to cosmetology school and worked as a hairdresser. In 1975, she married Steven Gamelin and had three children. While raising their children, Debbie was a stay-at-home mom. She was later employed by Ansul, retiring in 2016. She found great joy in traveling on the motorcycle with her husband, playing cards, bowling and fishing with her family. Debbie always looked forward to watching “fooseball” as well as basking in the summer’s sun.
Debbie is survived by her husband, Steve; son, Eric (Tracey); daughters: Tricia and Sara (Jeff) Cate; grandchildren: Makenna, Ryan, Collin and Hailey; brothers: Mark, Pat (Carol), and Kenny; a sister, Vicki (Rudy) Schiller; and many nieces and nephews. She is further survived by special friends: Kathy Neubert and Patti O’Donnell. Debbie was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Stevie; sisters: Terry, and Dottie Hasenfus, who was not only her sister, but also her best friend.
