With great sadness, we announce the passing of Donna Lee Buechler, 82, of Marinette, Wis. Donna received her wings on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2020, with her loving family by her side.
Donna was born to Ervin and Bernice (De Temple) Bohan on May 28, 1938, in Marinette. She graduated from Marinette High School. She worked at Kmart for 30 years and as a City of Marinette election worker until retiring. Donna enjoyed her time with the Red Hats and being a 16-year volunteer at Bay Area Medical Center. Donna was a devoted member of Holy Family Parish. She treasured time with her family and friends, especially visits from her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She embraced them with a smile that would light up a room whether it was a school event, sporting event or just a visit.
Donna is survived and will be remembered as a beloved mother to six children: Kim Sebero, David (Chera) Buechler, Karen (Greg Lemery) White, Kathy (Tim) Saxton, Karla (Mike) Martin and Dan (Rebecca) Buechler. A loving grandmother to 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. A wonderful sister to Joan Olszewski, Alan Bohan, Peggy (Jeff) Gromola, Greg Bohan, Debbie (Carl) VanLuven. A caring and loyal friend to many lifelong friends including former husband, Arne Buechler. Preceding Donna in death are her parents: Ervin and Bernice Bohan; in-laws: Fred and Mildred Buechler; brothers: James, Bruce and Paul; brother-in-law, Tony Olszewski; sister-in-law, Donna Bohan; and a great-grandson.
If comfortable, family and friends are invited to join in a celebration of Donna’s life at Thielen Funeral Home on Thursday, Sept. 10 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. with Deacon Jerome Thetreau officiating.
Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery.
Donna’s family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Aurora, the nurses and the staff at Aurora Bay Area Medical Center, Augustana Rehab, Northland Lutheran Village, as well as the staff at Unity Hospice for the comfort given during this time.
