James Robert Lemansky, 80 of Menominee, Mich., passed away on Monday, Aug. 31, 2020, at his home surrounded by his family following a courageous battle with cancer. Jim was born on Oct. 30, 1939, in Menominee to the late Stanley and Violet (Senn) Lemansky.
On May 23, 1970, Jim married the former Marie Erickson in Menominee. Jim worked as a diesel mechanic and shop foreman at Stang’s in Menominee for many years. He loved working, farming, tinkering and fixing things. Jim was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Marie of Menominee; three daughters: Ann (Chester) Smigielski of Green Bay, Wis., Jamie (Jim) Herson of Menominee, and Linda (Scott Laundree) Garrison of Menominee; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and sister, Valerie Lemansky of Manitowoc, Wis. Jim was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Jim on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2020, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church at 10 a.m., with Father Abraham Mupparathara presiding.
Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
