John J. Neville, 73, of Marinette passed away on Friday, September 11, 2020, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac, Wis., with his family by his side. He was born on May 1, 1947 to the late Earl and Alice (Burbey) Neville in Marinette and graduated from Marinette High School in 1965.
John then served his country proudly in the Navy Seabees during the Vietnam War, followed by time in the Reserves and retiring from the Navy Seabees. On March 1, 1969, he married Kerry Carvenough at St. Joseph’s Church in Marinette. He was a member of the DAV and the AmVets. John loved spending time with his grandchildren.
John is survived by his wife, Kerry of Peshtigo; son, Christopher Neville of Luxemburg, Wis.; daughter Jennipher (Joseph Jr.) Howarth of Peshtigo; sisters: Frances Schuh of Marinette and Rosemary Bechtold of Bloomington, Minn.; brother, Michael (Pamela) Neville of Wallace Mich.; sister-in-law, Jeannie Neville of Madison, Tenn.; five grandchildren: Abigail (Cody) Ferron, Joran Neville, Shayna Neville, Mikenzie (fiancé, Kevin Lopez-Ibarra) Howarth and Hunter Howarth.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers: Douglas (Estelle) Neville and James Neville; a sister, Pat (Russ) Seguin and brother-in-law, Rod Schuh; and special friend to Rosemary, Ray Presbish.
Visitation will be held at Holy Family Parish – Our Lady of Lourdes Church on Tuesday, September 15 from 10 a.m. until time of Mass at 11:30 a.m. Fr. Celestine Byekwaso will be officiating. Entombment will be in Forest Home Mausoleum. Thielen Funeral Home is assisting the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holy Family Parish, Lourdes Air Conditioning Fund.
