John W. Webber, 76, of Stevens Point, died unexpectedly at home on September 6, 2021. John was born to the late Peter and Rosalyn (Philipps) Webber on March 1, 1945, in Marinette, Wis. He attended the local grade schools and graduated from Marinette High School in 1963. John attended UW Stevens Point and received a BA in Political Science and History. In his earlier years, John utilized his educational background as a teacher. After attaining his licensing as a realtor, he started his own business as a property assessor. He worked for numerous local banks in the Stevens Point area until retiring. John will be remembered for his sense of humor and generosity. He will also be remembered for his appreciation of world history. He was an avid collector of antiques and historic memorabilia. As a young boy, John enjoyed hunting and the serenity of nature. He also enjoyed playing baseball with the local leagues.
Survivors include his sisters: Faith (Richard) Kozina and Jeanne McDougal; nieces & nephews: Patti (Jim) Kelber, Erin (Drae) Setner, Megan (Matt) Binsfeld, Vicki (John) McDonald, Luanne Black, and Judith Stevens; and extended family. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Loren Webber; sister and brother-in-law: Grace and Bob Mitchell; nephew, Tom (Rori) McDougal; and brother-in-law, Richard McDougal.
