Michael J. Madden, 84, of Peshtigo, Wis., passed away April 5, 2021. Born Aug. 16, 1936, son of the late James and Ruth (Lindberg) Madden he served in the U.S. Marines from 1954 - 1956.
Oct. 24, 1959, he married June M. Clark, and she preceded him in death Sept. 22, 2015. After his retirement from Badger Paper Mills, he delivered papers for the Peshtigo Times and was employed by the City of Peshtigo cutting grass at all the city parks. Mike was an active member of the Peshtigo Volunteer Fire Department in which he served for 50 years, retiring with the rank of assistant chief.
Michael is survived by two sons: Patrick (Margie) Madden of Oklahoma City and Timothy (Jill) Madden and their children, Chase and Kylie of Suamico; a daughter, Michele (Jim Sotka) Swiatnicki and her children, Seth and Steven of Marinette; two great-grandchildren: Jocelyn and Jaylyn Swiatnicki; and a sister-in-law, MaryAnn Madden. Along with his parents and wife, June, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Susan June; and a brother, Richard.
Family will receive relatives and friends Saturday, April 10, at Berth & Rosenthal Funeral Home from 11 a.m. until time of service at 2 p.m.
Burial with Military honors to follow at Riverside Cemetery in Peshtigo.
