Nancy L. McDonald, 82, Marinette passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at Aurora Bay Area Medical Center Marinette. She was born May 20, 1939, in Marinette to the late Richard and Margaret (Jackson) Gehler. On September 17, 1960, she married Richard “Dale” McDonald in Marinette; He died June 15, 2016. She had worked at Scott paper for a couple years and then after raising her children she worked at the Dome Cabaret in bookkeeping for fifteen years and then GNC for several years. Nancy was a member of the Woman of the Moose and a former Marinette Jaycette. She enjoyed making blankets, baking and sewing.
Nancy is survived by a son, Tony (Debbie) McDonald of Menominee; two daughters: Ann (Michael Hammond) of Porterfield and Lana (Tom) Bero of Marinette; two sisters: Marlene England and Tari (Pat) Menard; Ten grandchildren: Kaela and Adam McDonald, Mike Bawyn Jr, Billy Gamelin, Haleigh and Cole Nelson, Matt and Megan Bero, Eric Blom and Amber Hammond; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and sister in laws.
Visitation will be held at THIELEN FUNERAL HOME on Thursday, July 22, 2021, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. The Woman of the Moose will perform services at 5 P.M. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery.
