Lou Ellen M. Krueger, 77, of Marinette, Wis., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at Rennes Health Center-East in Peshtigo, Wis. She was born Feb. 25, 1943, in Chicago, Ill., to Herman and Mary Krueger.
Lou Ellen spent her early life in Illinois before moving to the Peshtigo and Marinette area in 1981. She was formerly married to Carl Zimmermann. Lou Ellen worked as a dietary aide in nursing homes locally and in Illinois. In retirement she led an active life as a volunteer for local non-profit agencies including Rainbow House. She was a member of Holy Family Parish in Marinette.
Lou Ellen is survived by her children: Debra (husband, Tim), Denise (husband, George), Douglas, David (wife, Solla), Darcy and Dawn; grandchildren: Winter, Katianne, Serena (husband, Ron), Susan, Karie, Kay, Hjalmar (wife, Rebecca), Kristopher (wife, Maryam) and Niklas; great-grandchildren: Mia, Lincoln, Graham, Natalie, Levy, Reese and Zoe; a sister, Judith Zimmerman; and former husband, Carl Zimmermann.
A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2020, at Holy Family Parish-Our Lady of Lourdes Church on Taylor Street, Marinette, with Father Celestine Byekwaso as celebrant. Friends may call at the church after 10 a.m. on July 25.
Burial will be in Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery in Hillside, Ill.
