Roger Louis Gratto

Roger Louis Gratto, 85, of Menominee, Mich., passed away at home with his family by his side. He was born on Nov. 11, 1934, in Menominee to the late Louis and Clara (Peterson) Gratto.

    Roger graduated from Menominee High School class of  1954. He married the former Barbara Staudenmaier on Dec. 31, 1957, in Marinette, Wis. Roger served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. He was a devoted member of Resurrection Parish in Menominee and a member of the American Legion Post 146. Roger worked at the Ansul Tank Division as a welder, retiring after 25 years. He enjoyed golfing at Little River Golf Club, hunting and bowling, but his greatest joy was his family especially the grandchildren.

    Roger is survived by his loving wife of over 62 years, Barbara; two daughters: Kathleen (Gerry) Hubbard, and Karen (Floyd) Mayer; five grandchildren: Jared, Derek, and Brittany Hubbard and Kristopher and Brent Mayer; three great-grandchildren: Emersyn Hubbard and Charlotte and Cole Mayer; one sister, Mary Jane (Richard) Gadda; and other family members and friends. In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Kervhan.

    Visitation will be held at the Cadieu Funeral Home on Friday, July 24, 2020, from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow and be celebrated, for the repose of the soul of Roger Louis Gratto, at Resurrection Parish in Menominee at 11 a.m., with Fr. Brian Gerber presiding.

    Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Menominee with Military Honors.
