Russell Francis Blohm, 97, Menominee, Mich. passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021. He was born on July 2, 1924, in Marinette, Wis., to the late Otto and Myrtle (Savard ) Blohm. He attended schools in Marinette. Russell married the former Shirley Schomer and she preceded him in death on October 2, 2016. Russell served his country honorably in the US Army during WWII. He worked at Lloyd Manufacturing for over 44 years, retiring as a maintenance man.
Russell is survived by three daughters: Sandra Kuffel, Dawn Blohm, and Kay Albrecht, his son, Steven (Karla) Blohm, one step-son, Scott Piquette, 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, one sister, Phyllis LaFlamme, three brothers: Gerald (Marion) Blohm, Allen Blohm, and Mike (Darlene) Blohm and other family members and friends. In addition to his parents and his wife Shirley, Russell was preceded in death by two sisters: Marilyn Blohm and Luella Wilke, his brother, Chuck and his step-son, Rick Piquette.
Friends may call at the Anderson-Kell Funeral Home on Monday, September 20, 2021, from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Menominee with military honors by the Military 20 Year Club.
