Sandra J. Michaud, 74, of Marinette, Wis., passed away Jan. 13, 2021, at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay. She was born Oct. 27, 1946, in Milwaukee to Phyllis and Eugene Podziemski. She was the first of five children, a sister, Sharie Austin, and three brothers: Thomas, Michael and Eugene Jr.
After high school she went to school for cosmetology. She was a school bus driver in Milwaukee as well as an Archery Technician and Hunter Safety Instructor. For most of her life she was a homemaker and enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, pow wows, skiing, snowmobiling and teaching. Sandra made it her mission to help save the Menominee River. Sandra also enjoyed beadwork in her spare time. She retired in 2016.
Sandra is survived by three daughters: Jennifer Webber, Janneice Webber and Lisa Jepson; six grandchildren: Daymon Opsahl, Lashea Kloida, Jazmin Opsahl, Shyanne Opsahl, Drew Christensen and Karlee Christensen; also three great-grandchildren and another on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents and younger brother, Eugene.
We will be having a celebration of her life later in the year when Covid allows us to safely gather.
