On Saturday, Aug. 29, 2020, Shane Erik Johnson, 43, passed away at his home, surrounded by family, after a long battle with complications related to Muscular Dystrophy. He was born Sept. 18, 1976, in Marinette, Wis., to Thomas A. and Cynthia (Renaud) Johnson, spending most of his life in this area.
Shane graduated from Peshtigo High School with the Class of 1996 and was able to travel to Italy with a class trip. Throughout his life Shane was always up for an adventure. He went on to attend college at MATC in Madison where he studied photography. Shane was an avid animal lover, enjoyed being outside in the yard and spending time with family. He was quiet with a great sense of humor and loved to tinker with things.
Shane is survived by his parents: Tom and Cindy Johnson; two brothers: Shaun Johnson, and Brandon (Rachel) Johnson and their son, nephew, Luca Johnson; his grandmother, Elinor Williams; aunts and uncles: Kim (Tina) Renaud, Cheri Grant, Tony (Anna) Johnson, Mike (Nanette) Johnson and Marilu (Al) Kuffel; special friend, Daryl Tanguay; numerous cousins; special canine companions: Chance and Diogi; and special feline friends: Cheetara and Mookitty. He was preceded in death by grandfathers: Doug Renaud and Al Williams; grandparents: Edna and Frank Johnson; and an uncle, Jerry Johnson.
Due to current public health concerns, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later time.
