Shirley A. Philipps-Cloutier, 90, of Marinette, Wis., passed away Tuesday Sept. 1, 2020. She was born Aug. 31, 1930, in Hermansville, Mich., to the late Jerry and Lillian (Boucher) LeBlanc and graduated from Hermansville High School in 1948.
On May 28, 1949, she married Marvin Philipps at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hermansville; he preceded her in death on Jan. 8, 1979. She and Marvin owned and operated Marv’s Auto Sales in Menominee, Mich. for many years. After Marvin passed away, she worked at Jenquin’s Ace Hardware for 15 years. On Aug. 8, 1987, she married Frederick Cloutier at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Walsh; he died Jan. 23, 2013. Shirley was a member of Holy Family Parish and enjoyed playing cards, gardening, camping, fishing and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Shirley is survived by three daughters: Jackalyn (Wayne) Krumrei, Cheryl (Jeff) Nutt and Suzanne (Marty) Anderson all of Wausaukee, Wis.; eight grandchildren: Karri, Tracie, Samantha, Bobbi, Jesse, Ronald, Randall and Candance; and 22 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands: Marvin and Frederick; sons: Richard and William; a brother, Hamilton LeBlanc; two sisters: Iona Kluba and Isabel Clifford; grandson, William R. Philipps; and two great grandsons: Jacob and William.
Due to the pandemic private funeral services will be held at Holy Family Parish.
Burial will be in St. Edwards Cemetery.
