Steve J. Bogdan, 78, of Wallace, Mich., passed away at Aurora Bay Care in Green Bay, Wis., on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2020. He was born March 23, 1942, to the late Steve and Helen (Foley) Bogdan Sr.
Steve graduated from Stephenson High School Class of 1960. On July 14, 1961, he married Gloria Voigt. Steve worked in heavy equipment construction his whole life; he worked for Kakuk and Bacco Construction before starting his own business Bogdan Construction.
Steve was a member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church and North Shore Golf Course. He loved hunting, horse back riding, cooking, fishing and going golfing. Steve was the happiest when he was with his family. He felt accomplished when he got work done. Steve is a big Brett Favre fan and absolutely loved running his heavy equipment.
Steve is survived by his wife, Gloria, of 59 years; sons: Steve (Mae) Bogdan of Lavon, Texas, Tom Bogdan of Appleton, Wis., and daughter Kelly (Sean) Shipley of Suamico, Wis.; grandchildren: Christin, Colt and Shanna Bogdan; Ryan and Catrian Bogdan; and Brett and Dyllan Shipley; great-grandchildren: Riley, Weston and Bella; sisters: Marylyn (Mickey) Wangerin, Judy (John) Schultz and Bonni (Tom) Feher; and sister-in-law, Faye (Marvin) Parrett; and many nieces and nephews. Steve was preceded in death by his parents and daughter-in-law, Cheryl Bogdan.
Visitation for Steve will be on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2020, at Anderson-Diehm Funeral Home beginning at 2 p.m., until the time of the Memorial Service at 4 p.m., with Pastor Brenda Greenwald presiding. Those attending please consider the guidelines for Covid-19 and wear a mask before entering and maintain social distancing.
Burial will be in the Mellen Township Cemetery.
