Thomas H. Leeman, 66, unexpectedly passed away at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, Wis., on August 31, 2021. Tom was born on October 25, 1954, in Green Bay, Wis., to the late Monroe and Veronica Leeman. He resided in Oneida, Wis., until 1969 when the family moved to Marinette. He was a 1973 graduate of Marinette High School. He went on to complete his Machinist apprenticeship at EP Olson Machine Co. and worked as the Maintenance Machinist for Badger Paper Mills in Peshtigo until 2005. In 2007 he received his Machining Certificate from NWTC in Marinette. Thomas spent his last 14 years as a retiree. He was an active member of the River Road Riders Snowmobile Club and the M&O Bee Keepers Association. He enjoyed his time with his grandchildren and spent his summers in Channing, Mich., enjoying the great outdoors. He loved sharing his vast knowledge and many talents from fishing to woodworking with all. He was the first to offer to help and the last to take it. He was a friend to all and a mentor to many. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Monroe and Veronica Leeman; brothers: James Leeman and John Leeman; and sisters: Janet VanBoxtel, Mary Anne Brocker and Sister Elizabeth Leeman. Tom is survived by his wife of 43 years, Marcia Leeman (Cherry); and will be lovingly remembered by his children: Shayna Leeman (Stephenson, Mich) and Matthew Leeman (Appleton, Wis); grandchildren: Payton Nerat, Evan Nerat, Amelia Borchardt, and Gracelyn Milbach (Stephenson, Mich) and Asher Leeman (Appleton, Wis); his brothers: William (Barb) Leeman (Suamico, Wis), Joeseph (Debbie) Leeman (Green Bay, Wis), Peter (Anita) Leeman (Channing, Mich), Daniel (Maria) Leeman (Waupaca, Wis); his sisters: Sister Pauline Marie (Iron Mountain, Mich), Sister Verone Leeman (Manitowac, Wis), Jeanne (Don) Zepnick (Green Bay, Wis), Betty Lou Ferron (DePere, Wis), Teresa (David) Rosenbaum (Larson, Wis); his In-Laws, many nieces and nephews and his Sawyer Lake Family.
Visitation will be held at Hansen-Onion-Martell funeral home in Marinette, Wis on Friday, September 10, 2021, from 2-4 p.m. with services to follow. A Meal of Remembrance will take place at Embers in Peshtigo following the services.
