Vernon “Bud” Haglund, 90, of Marinette, Wis., passed away on Monday, Jan. 11, 2021, at the Luther Home. Bud was born on Jan. 20, 1930, in Menominee, Mich., to the late Arthur and Anna (Peterson) Haglund.
On June 23, 1950, Bud married the former Carolyn Salewsky in Menominee. In his younger years, Bud enjoyed coaching his sons in sports and attending their sporting events. His face would light up when talking about the Menominee1967 state championship basketball team. Later in life he continued to enjoy attending the sporting events of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bud was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Carolyn of Marinette; three sons: David (Paula) of Menominee, Jeffrey (Linda) of Green Bay, Wis., and Craig (Sue) of Menominee; six grandchildren: Taylor, Brian (Teddy), Jason (Tiffany), Amber (Peter) Chanthasena, Kelli (Nathan) Anderson and Kristopher (Janeen); 13 great-grandchildren: Dayne, Isabella, Hayden, Malachi, Nala, Ezra, Olivia (Tyler), Kyle, Emma, Kobe, Karis, Reese and Quinlee; two great-great-grandchildren: Addison and Griffin; sister-in-law: Irma Malcolm; and many nieces and nephews. Bud was preceded in death by his brother, Merrill (Anne) Haglund
Private services will be held for Bud at Cadieu Funeral Home in Menominee.
