PESHTIGO—A long-time Aacer Flooring employee, Michael Schahczinski, died June 28 after a short battle with cancer. On what would have been his 58-year birthday, the company held a small memorial to celebrate his life and pay tribute to his dedication to Aacer. Schahczinski started his employment with Aacer since they opened in 1999.
Having worked with maple flooring for over 20 years, the company found it appropriate to plant a maple tree in his memory. The tree is marked by a plaque and located near the employee entrance on the Aacer property.
In attendance were Schahczinski’s sister, April, and his Aacer family. Laughter was shared as “Mike” stories were exchanged.
Iconik Etchings created the beautiful work on the memorial plaque.
