MENOMINEE—L.E. Jones Company congratulates Jeffery J. Ahrndt on the one-year anniversary of his retirement.
Jeff was born and raised in Menominee and began his career at L.E. Jones on Jan. 13, 1972 as a side grinder. Jeff held many positions during his 48 years of service, including machine operator, utility worker, assistant set up, auto chamfer, small centerless grinder, and machine shop lead. Jeff spent his last 21 years as machine shop supervisor. Prior to his employment at L.E. Jones Company, Jeff worked for Linsmeier Livestock and Elm Brook Farms. His favorite thing about L.E. Jones Company was working with so many great people and the challenges he faced when he became a supervisor.
Jeff plans to enjoy his retirement years by spending more time with his grandchildren. He also plans to spend more time in the woods and cutting firewood. Jeff takes great pride in his yard, cutting the grass and working in the garden. His hobbies include the outdoors, hunting, fishing, yard work and gardening. Jeff is also a member of Whitetails Unlimited and is very active with his family.
Jeff’s family includes his wife, Loretta, who is also an employee of L.E. Jones Company. They have a daughter, Amanda Thoune, and two sons, James and Joseph. Jeff and Loretta are also proud grandparents to five granddaughters.
