Dun-Good Riders: Snowmobile & ATV/UTV trails in the Dunbar & Goodman areas of Northwestern Marinette County and open in the process of being groomed. Temperatures in the 50s over the weekend caused considerable melting on the trail system, but fortunately, there was enough base to the trail to keep the dirt from coming through. Grooming will continue through the week and the trails should be in excellent condition for the weekend. Watch for active logging operations throughout the trail system and crossing the trail on Forest Road 607 on the trail to Goodman.

Pemenee River Riders: Trails in the Pembine/Beecher/Niagara areas of Northeastern Marinette County are open. With the warm weather experience recently, trails are soft and somewhat icy in the morning but are being groomed this week in preparation for the weekend.

Iron Showshoe: Trails in the High Falls/Peshtigo River and Parkway areas west of Crivitz are open and in good spring conditions. Logging areas, power line construction areas and high traffic areas are showing wear. The Iron Snowshoe trails do not allow ATV/UTV on the trails when temperatures are 32 degrees or above. Watch for iced corners and please stay on the marked trails and ride safe. The High Falls Flowage Radar is on Saturday at the Town of Stephenson Park off boat landing 3 road. For more information call 715-757-3511.

Near North: Trails located in Athelstane and Silver Cliff areas are open and will all be groomed by the weekend with very good riding conditions despite the higher temperatures. The trail through the Athelstane swamp will stay closed for the remainder of the snowmobile season. ATV/UTV trails are open year round except for the spring break-up period. Watch for signs and stay on marked trails.

Kumalong Sno Riders: Trails in the Coleman/Pound/Peshtigo/Crivitz areas are open and still in good shape despite the warm weather taking a hit on the trails. They are still going to be groomed and are hoping to get a few more weeks of riding out of them.

Ranger City Riders: Snowmobile trails only in the Amberg/Beecher/Wausaukee areas. The RCR system is open and groomed with good riding conditions. East Trial (Corridor 1) is open, but riders should use caution as changes in weather conditions can affect the swaps. Remember the North Trail detour that uses Black Sam Road and Westberg Road is marked.

River Road Riders: Snowmobile trails only that cover Crivitz, Porterfield, Wausaukee, east to Marinette and south to Peshtigo all remain open. Snow is getting thin south of Highway 64 (bare spots, ice), so riders should use caution and watch the website for updates.

Oconto County Trail Report

Townsend Red Arrow Snowmobile ATV Club: The groomer is out grooming and shaving the ice to try and provide some cooling snow for engines and slides. Cooling has been a problem in recent days because all the snow has frozen down, but this should help. The trails should remain in very good riding condition though icy with a few bare spots starting to show up.

Bagley & Brazeau Joyriders: Received 6-to-8 inches of snow on Monday so trail were groomed Tuesday, Wednesday and will be groomed today if needed. Trails are in good to excellent condition, and for the first time all year the low areas and marshes are being groomed.

Chute Pond Snowmobile Club: Trails are open, groomed on a regular basis and in fair to very good condition. Most trails east of Highway 32 are in fair to good condition and the snowcover is thin. Most trails west of Highway 32 are in good to very good condition with a flat, hardpacked trail. Warm weather has caused some bare/burned out spots, and the melting has caused some slushy/icy areas. The team of groomers will continue to work the trails to keep them in the best condition possible.

NEW DETOUR: There is a new detour route from Intersection 447 that runs north and west and intersects with the 18 Corridor trail at Riverview Road.
