MENOMINEE — When John Loskot was growing up on a farm with six brothers and one sister in the Stephenson area during the Great Depression of the 1930s, he never suspected his journey in life would transcend to an 80-plus years serving community, state, nation and mankind.

Now 100 years old and a resident at Harbors Retirement Community in Menominee with his wife of 74 years, Helen, he can look back at the remarkable path through life he carved along the way while touching the lives of scores of people in the process.
