MARINETTE—Christmas in Marinette will take place Saturday.

Plenty of activities are planned throughout the day, including a Christmas Craft Show, cookie decorating classes, Christmas carolers, photos with Santa, a parade, a free movie and more.

Here is a breakdown of the events:

Æ Christmas Craft Fair—This will take place from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Community REC Center, 2501 Pierce Ave.

Æ Christmas Cookie Decorating—This is set from 10 to 11:30 a.m., also at the REC Center. Classes will be taught by the professional team of Bake and Brew in Marinette.

Æ Christmas Carols at the REC—From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. people can join in and sing Christmas carols at the REC Center.

Æ Gingerbread Festival—This will take place from 10 a.m. to noon at the Stephenson Public Library. Participants can follow the adventures of the “Gingerbread Baby,” based on the Jan Brett story.

Æ Pictures with Santa & Mrs. Claus—From 1:3- to 3:30 p.m. participants can get their photos taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus for $1.

Æ Downtown Christmas Parade—This event starts at 5 p.m. The parade begins at Water Street and proceeds down Maini Street to Liberty Street.

Æ Cookies, Cocoa, Carols, “’Twas The Night Before Christmas,” & Christmas Tree & Bridge Lighting—This begins at the Welcome Center immediately following the parade. Participants can enjoy cookies and hot cocoa, along with the official lighting of the Christmas tree and bridge.

Æ Christmas movie—“Elf.” The movie will be shown at 6:30 p.m. at the Mariner Theatre behind the courthouse. The movie is free, but people are encourage to bring a canned food or non-perishable item for the local food pantry. “Elf” stars Will Farrell and James Caan.
