CEDARVILLE — An Illinois man was reported missing Friday at the Cedar River Camp Ground in Cedarville on County Road 551.

The Menominee County Sheriff's Office began its search for the 55-year-old man at 10:48 p.m. Friday. It contacted the man's family members and called for assistance in the search for the hunter.

The missing person is described as a 5-foot, 7-inch man with gray hair. He was last seen 9:30 p.m. Friday wearing gray shorts, a camouflage shirt and Croc shoes.

The search is ongoing.

The Menominee County Sheriff's Department is being assisted in this search by the Menominee County Sheriff's K9 Unit, Menominee County Marine Patrol/ Water Rescue, Cedarville Township Fire Department, Mellon Township Fire Department, BAMSAR, Michigan State Police, and the Michigan State Police Air Unit, K9 Unit and Dive Team.
