MARINETTE – A 36-year-old male died in a one-vehicle accident this weekend in the Town of Beaver.
Bernardo Diaz, Mexico, was pronounced dead Saturday morning by the Marinette County medical examiner, according to Sheriff Jerry Sauve.
Diaz, who was living in Beaver and working at a nearby farm, died in an accident on East 6th Road. A passerby noticed a vehicle off the road and upside down at about 4:30 a.m., according to the sheriff’s office.
An investigation revealed that the vehicle was eastbound and went off and on the road several times before going off the road, striking a power pole, rolling over and coming to rest upside down. Speed and alcohol are believed to be factors in the crash, which remains under investigation, according to the sheriff’s office.
