MARINETTE—The Marinette County Board of Supervisors approved an agreement to fix the Marinette County radio infrastructure for police, fire and EMS last Tuesday. The vote for the agreement was 27-1, with supervisor Shirley Kaufman voting no.

The $1.9 million upgrade, funded by dollars from American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), will replace the system installed in 2001, over 20 years ago. BAYCOM, out of Green Bay, will include stage, integrate, install and optimize the equipment, subject to approval by Marinette County’s Corporation Counsel, according to the agreement.
